The Free Press Cup enters its 103rd year in 2010 with the help of five sponsors. Rigby Taylor Ltd, Mansfield Sands, Barnwell Services, Fatboys and Talkingbowls.com have all agreed to support the competition resulting in a total of £1000 prize money.

The competition returns to its traditional format of 6 home 6 away with the final being played as 12 a side on a neutral green. The £25 entry fee works out to just over £2 per player. A team that wins three games and makes it through to the semi finals is guaranteed their money back, runners up will collect £150. My aim was to improve the winning prize ten-fold and this has been achieved with £800 up for grabs.
